This is an interesting question. Is it possible to learn Farsi quickly? Is it possible to make gigantic improvements in only 2-3 months? Is it possible to learn to speak Farsi fluently in less than 4-5 months? The answer to all of these questions is “YES”. Take a look at these tips to make your Farsi learning goes faster.
Immersion is absolutely the best way to learn Farsi language quickly. This means that you should study Farsi every day, for at least 2 to 3 hours a day. One hour every other day is not enough to learn Farsi very fast. If you can spend at least 2-3 hours a day speaking, listening, writing, and reading Farsi, this will help you the most.
Take a course.
Farsi courses will help you learn the most important grammar, words and phrases correctly. There are two main ways to take Farsi language courses:
- Take an online course. You can take Farsi learning courses online. Of course, Farsi courses cost money, but they are the most effective ways to learn Farsi fast. Good examples of online Farsi learning programs are Learn Persian Online tutoring via Skype.
- Take a course in a Farsi school. Unfortunately, finding a local Farsi school is not easy. There are few colleges, universities, and schools around the world that offer Farsi courses. If one of them is in your neighborhood, take advantage of it!
Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Be confident. People can only correct your mistakes when they hear you make them. You should remember that the key to the fluent conversation in Farsi is confidence. If you want to learn Farsi language fast, you have to be assured of yourself and of the words and phrases you had spent hours practicing. So, remember, be CONFIDENT.
Talk and sing to yourself in Farsi.
Start talking in Farsi, even if you are alone! Sing a song in Farsi the way it sounds to you, talk about the weather or any other topic. Do this regularly and your pronunciation will significantly improve – guaranteed!

Watch, watch, watch.
Do you have a Farsi-speaking idol? If not, find one! And then go to YouTube, find his, her interviews in Farsi and watch them. You may spend hours watching interviews and it sure won’t feel like studying. But it really is! It helps you a great deal. Stop translating words to your language. Translating everything to your native language is a huge mistake when learning Farsi! If you are doing it, STOP right now! Translating everything is slowing down your movement. If you hear something in Farsi and instantly try to translate it to your native language; you will not be focusing on learning Farsi, but rather translating. When you hear people speaking in Farsi, try to find the words you do know and try to guess the meaning of the words you do not know.
Stop Negative Self-Talk.
If you find yourself saying or thinking negative things about learning Farsi such as, “You will never learn Farsi.” “Why do I always make mistakes? I am so stupid.” “I never know what to say. Farsi is so hard to learn.” It’s time to stop it! You should be positive to learn Farsi quicker.
