“What is it?” and “Where is it?”

“چیست” is a question word that means “what is it?”

“چیست” is the brief format of “چه است” and “چی است”

/esme shomâ chist?/ What is your name?

“کُجاست” is the brief format of “ کُجا است” that means “where is it?”

Sometimes “کجاست” changes to “کو” in speech.
