| Oh tyrant! from crushing the helpless refrain ! For the world in one mode does not always remain. | مها زورمندی مکن با کهان که بر یک نمط می‌نماند جهان |
| The fingers of one who is weak, do not twist ! For should he prevail, you will cease to exist | سر پنجه ناتوان بر مپیچ که گر دست یابد برآیی به هیچ |
| Degrade not a man from his rank, I repeat! For weak you will be, if you fall from your seat. | عدو را بکوچک نباید شمرد که کوه کلان دیدم از سنگ خرد |
| نبینی که چون با هم آیند مور ز شیران جنگی برآرند شور نه موری که مویی کزان کمترست چو پر شد ز زنجیر محکمترست مبر گفتمت پای مردم ز جای که عاجز شوی گر درآیی ز پای | |

| The traveller shows for his own load concern; For his ass’s galled back, his hard heart does not yearn. I admit you are none of the down-fallen band; AVhen you see one has fallen why impotent stand? | خورد کاروانی غم بار خویش نسوزد دلش بر خر پشت ریش گرفتم کز افتادگان نیستی چو افتاده بینی چرا نیستی؟ |
