What this fâl tells you

This ghazal says that everything the beloved sends, even a frown, carries kindness inside it. Tradition reads it as a sign that a message you have waited for is on the way, though the road is slow. Receive what comes, sweet or bitter, as a gift.

A traditional-style reading for reflection and enjoyment.

How this ghazal is built

radif: miâvard. qâfiye: -âr (kâr, bâr, divâr, hanjâr, doshvâr, zonnâr, bimâr, vâr). Beyt 7 opens with the Arabic phrase afallâh, "God forgive".
