What this fâl tells you

Someone whose presence lights up a room is on your mind, and you cannot hide it. Tradition reads this fal as a sign that time lost is precious: what is gone cannot fully return, so welcome the person or the joy that is still within reach. A return you hope for may be closer than you think.

A traditional-style reading for reflection and enjoyment.

How this ghazal is built

radif: none. qâfiye: -ast (dast, mast, past, hast, beneshast, peyvast, shast). Beyts 3 and 4 play with opposites (hast / nist, barkhâst / beneshast).
