What this fâl tells you

This fal speaks of a longing to sit beside the one you love and of a heart that feels left out while others are served. Tradition reads it as a sign that long, faithful service is remembered: ask plainly and with dignity for your share. Trust your own gift as well; like the poet's swift falcon, you can catch what others only admire.

A traditional-style reading for reflection and enjoyment.

How this ghazal is built

radif: none. qâfiye: -inam (beneshinam, chinam, shirinam, mibinam, inam, dirinam, shâhinam, moshkinam, dinam, parvinam). Beyt 8 praises a vizier as "a second Asaf"; Jalal al-Din is usually identified as Turanshah, minister of Shah Shoja.
