What this fâl tells you
This fal describes someone who seems merry on the outside but carries an old, hidden ache, like the tulip with its dark heart. Tradition reads it as encouragement to admit where you have gone astray and ask an experienced guide for help. Others may judge by appearances; underneath, your heart is still clean and open to a fresh start.
A traditional-style reading for reflection and enjoyment.
How this ghazal is built
radif: -im ("we are / we have"). qâfiye: -âde (dâde, bâde, goshâde, zâde, istâde, oftâde, nahâde, sâde). The tulip and anemone with a dark spot (dâgh) at the center are the poem's image of a hidden wound.
