1. Listen to the podcast
We think listening to podcasts is a great way to immerse yourself in the Persian language. You can pop on a Persian podcast while you’re in the car or exercising or even before you go to sleep at night. In fact, podcasts are a great way to supplement a more structured course-based learning approach and this is how we have made the most progress ourselves.
2. Writing Persian
Please keep a diary; write something in Persian in it every day, even if it’s very simple. Start with small sentences and make them longer and longer. Again, the internet is a great way to help you learn Persian. Please try to make friends online, visit chat rooms, and forums, or post comments on blogs. Actually, these are all useful tools for you to learn well from.
Writing gives you a good chance to review Persian words you have learned in the past and allows you the time to think about grammar as you write. Go back and review anything you might have written in the past, when your Persian was at a lower level, and try to find any mistakes you made.
Think about writing a short story or even a poem; if you have a Persian teacher, he or she will be happy to check it for you.
3. Online courses
If you’re serious about learning Persian then a structured online course is a great way to get results quickly. You can structure your Persian learning around your day – commute times work well or when you’re exercising, etc.
There are several options available online these days and choosing one can be quite overwhelming.
You can use our online courses:

4. Persian Mistakes
None of us want to make mistakes in front of other people; however, your mistakes are very important and will actually help you learn Persian. Actually, the key is, not to be afraid to make mistakes. Don’t waste a chance to speak Persian because you were too nervous about making a mistake. This is especially true if you study in a Persian course and your teacher wants to hear your mistakes, so he/she can correct them for you. Don’t be shy; be confident, having an ‘I can do it’ attitude will help you learn Persian. Above all, try not to worry, learning Persian should be fun! If you have more fun, your learning will be easier.
5. Use Persian books
Some learners learn by watching and observing and others prefer to read to absorb knowledge. There are hundreds of Persian language books available to help you to learn the language. Using a book may also be a good and helpful way to supplement your studies if you mainly want to use an app or online resources that may not be so structured.
6. Watch Persian movies
Children’s programs are very useful for Persian learners. Choose programs that you would enjoy in your native language. Remember that much of what you hear in movies is slang.
7. Record your own voice
This might feel very uncomfortable, but it will help you find your weak Persian pronunciation points. Please listen to yourself a few days later. Which sounds do you think it’s difficult to hear?
