What this fâl tells you

A generous guide sees your heart, not just your faults. Tradition reads this fal as advice to stay honest rather than polished, since a wise eye sees through pretense, and to keep company with kind, forgiving people. Joy is near you, like the shade of a cypress over a rose by the stream.

A traditional-style reading for reflection and enjoyment.

How this ghazal is built

radif: bud ("was"). qâfiye: -â (sahbâ, mâ, zibâ, dânâ, binâ, pâbarjâ, pâlâ, bâlâ, hekâyat-hâ). In beyt 9 ghalb means both "counterfeit coin" and "heart".
