What this fâl tells you

This fal asks you to choose warm, sincere company over people who are stiff, showy and heavy-spirited. Tradition reads it as advice to stay close to those whose hearts are honest even if they have little, and not to hide from them. A warm heart can boil over, so let your passion be gentle and keep sweet things sweet.

A traditional-style reading for reflection and enjoyment.

How this ghazal is built

radif: none. qâfiye: -ushân (pushân, mapushân, forushân, nushân, dalgh-pushân, manushân, khorushân, jushân). Beyt 3 puns on dard "pain" and dord "dregs", and on sâfi "pure" and "clear (wine)".
