Farsi Complete Course: Advanced is Book 3 and the last level of the course. Its 10 chapters, written in Persian, cover the airport, means of communication, places to see, emergencies, entertainment, food, driving and parking, personality, art and the pharmacy. Longer readings on places such as Kish, Qeshm and Bandar Abbas, proverb stories, short poems and grammar on auxiliary verbs and apposition build reading fluency. 220-page PDF by Reza Nazari and Somayeh Nazari.
Advanced learners need real texts and the language of situations that go wrong: a delayed flight, a stolen bag, a visit to the pharmacy. Book 3 of Farsi Complete Course finishes the series with ten such chapters, each combining colloquial dialogues, grammar and readings about Iran that are longer than those in Books 1 and 2.
In one emergency dialogue, a woman reports that a man on a motorbike stole her bag with money, a passport and an ID card in it. Grammar covers points such as single-ending verbs in سردم هست (sardam hast, I’m cold) and apposition (بدل), and proverbs come with their story, like ماستها را کیسه کرد (mâst-hâ râ kise kard), said of someone who backs down when threatened.
The chapters follow the same pattern as Book 2, with longer readings and more cultural content.
Booking a flight, gates and excess baggage, talking to cabin crew, driving and parking, and places worth visiting.
Dialogues about an accident and a stolen bag, a reading on the Iranian Red Crescent (هلال احمر) and a pharmacy chapter.
Auxiliary verbs in the past perfect, present perfect, future and subjunctive, single-ending verbs (فعل تکشناسه) and apposition, each with exercises.
Tehran’s two international airports, Kish and Qeshm islands, Bandar Abbas and the Nahar Khoran forest near Gorgan, each followed by true-or-false questions.
Proverbs explained with the story behind them, and short classical poems printed with an English verse translation.
English-Persian vocabulary lists in the chapters, an answer key after chapter 10 and a glossary from page 188.
Chapter 1, At the airport (در فرودگاه), opens with key sentences in spoken Persian. The pronunciations are added here; the book prints Persian only:
| Persian | Pronunciation | English |
|---|---|---|
| کجا باید کارت پرواز بگیرم؟ | kojâ bâyad kârt-e parvâz begiram? | Where should I get my boarding pass? |
| هزینه اضافه بار چقدره؟ | hazine-ye ezâfe bâr cheghadre? | How much is the excess baggage fee? |
| سوار کردن مسافران کی شروع میشه؟ | savâr kardan-e mosâferân key shoru mishe? | When does boarding start? |
| پرواز شیراز از کدوم گیته؟ | parvâz-e shirâz az kodum gite? | Which gate is the Shiraz flight at? |
If you want travel phrases with a pronunciation on every line, Persian for Busy Travelers is arranged that way.
Chapter titles are in Persian in the book:
Book 1 teaches the alphabet and basic situations with transliteration; Book 2 moves to Persian-only text and intermediate grammar; Book 3 (this one) has the longest readings, travel and emergency topics, proverbs and poetry.
Very little. Lessons, instructions and readings are in Persian; English appears in the vocabulary lists and the verse translations of the poems.
Yes. An answer key (پاسخنامه) follows chapter 10, and a glossary starts on page 188.
Both series are by Reza Nazari and Somayeh Nazari and use the same chapter format, and some dialogues and readings appear in both, so most learners need only one of the two.
