Letter الف has two forms in Persian, with a hat (آ) or without one (ا)
اصل مطلب: مقصود اصلی.
اطلس: پرنیان، پارچه ابریشمی.
افاده آمدن / افاده فروختن: تکبر داشتن.
افاده: تکبر
آفتاب در ملکش غروب نمی کند: شرق و غرب زمین در تصرف اوست، خیلی پولدار است.
آفتاب زردی: غروب آفتاب، هنگامی که آفتاب در افق به رنگ زرد در می آید.
آفتاب لب بام است: پیر است و مرگش نزدیک.
آفتاب همیشه زیر ابر نمی ماند: حقیقت همیشه پنهان نیست- واقعیت روزی معلوم خواهد شد.
آفتابه خرج لحیم است: به تعمیرش نمی ارزد.
آفتابه لگن به شش دست، شام و نهار هیچ چیز: کار پر سر و صدایی است اما نتیجه ای ندارد.
